          I thank Don Klein for his comments.  He reminds me of Barney Carroll’s response: it’s the money. This became a factor after the wider use of lithium: no patents, no money.

          Now you can learn from watching TV that there are many compounds introduced as antipsychotic. Then these same drugs morph into new anti-manic drugs and by now some are advertised as complete therapy for manic depressive disorder.

          I would very much like a group of experts to review these magical transformations. These sorts of transformation make a mockery of all psychiatric diagnoses.
