Preamble
Thomas A. Ban’s “Clinical pharmacology of psychotropic drugs” was published in 1966 in “Applied Therapeutics” (Volume 8, pages 145, 147, 149, 150 and 175). It was the introductory paper to a series of publications in which one group of psychotropic drugs available for clinical use in the mid-1960s was systematically reviewed. The series provided the core for Part Two (Systematic Psychopharmacology) in Ban’s “Psychopharmacology,” published in 1969 by The Williams and Wilkins Company, Baltimore.
