Magnet Reaction

Definition: Patient’s hand follows withdrawing finger that touched palm as iron follows its magnet (Hamilton 1976.)

Exploration: The examiner rapidly touches patient’s palm with a finger and “magnet reaction” is present if patient’s hand follows withdrawing finger that touched palm.
