Ken Gillman: Medical science publishing: A slow-motion train wreck

Samuel Gerson’s further comment on Ken Gillman’s essay and Edward Shorter’s comment on it

Both Ken Gilman’s paper and Ned Shorter’s comments on it fundamentally present real issues of concern to the field.

If   Gilman pushed hard in one direction more than others we should still seriously worry about the ones both authors fully agree on.

Shorter focuses on some issues that he considers important.

But my feelings are that the whole set of concerns discussed here and in other carefully detailed set of indictments on the same issues are presented today in a blog from enopath@aol,com titled “The Corruption of evidence based Medicine.”

There is plenty to worry about.
