Bulletin 24

Preamble

Thomas A. Ban’s “Methodology and pitfalls in clinical testing of psychopharmacological drugs” was published in 1964 in Chemotherapia (Volume 9, pages 923-30.). It is based on an invited presentation with the same title at a meeting of the Canadian Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association in the early 1960s. The paper provided the core for the   section on Methodological Considerations in Chapter Five, Part One (General Psychopharmacology) in Ban’s “Psychopharmacology,” published in 1969 by The Williams and Wilkins Company, Baltimore.
