Palinacousia

 

Definition: Persistence of an auditory sensation after the disappearance of the stimulus  (Wustmann, Roettig and Marneros, 2010).

 

Exploration: The presence of palinacousia can be established by interviewing the patient.

 

Synonym: Auditory perseveration.
